Outlook - Atsushi Aoki is arguably the best of the 2005 graduating class from NOAH’s Dojo. An accomplished amateur wrestler, he has made a quick transition and shows great promise as a junior heavyweight. Although the class had wrestlers with more prestigious amateur backgrounds, more top star potential and more entertaining work, Aoki is the most well-rounded. He has a good sense for working holds on the ground and spicing things up with some highflying and suplexes here and there. His learning curve gives him an edge on his peers and that could make a large difference in establishing his place in NOAH’s midcard. Aoki’s next step is finding a niche, either a more unique persona or an established tag team partner.
