Outlook - One of the youngsters who was just debuting around the time of the 2000 departure from All Japan, Kenta Kobayashi was kind of a colorless junior who would have likely been given few chances in the All Japan of Giant Baba. After getting some time in, he changed his name to KENTA, got a moderate push and stepped up his game. In his third year, KENTA was starting to make significant waves in Japan. He began teaming with Naomichi Marufuji and the two of them elevated NOAH's junior tag matches to be the best in Japan. KENTA's spirited offense and spunky attitude made him a bright star in NOAH's undercards. He reached a plateau as arguably the best junior in the world if not the best all-around talent in pro-wrestling. KENTA's size has held him back without question. Fortunately, Marufuji has become a top player in NOAH and KENTA has the ability to join him. As NOAH heads towards the next decade, there is growing concern over who can take over for the aging old guard and KENTA is certainly a prospective top star for the company. His game is so good that he can run through the motions and still look amazing, which argues that he has peaked and only has so long before his body begans breaking down. NOAH needs to push him to the top sooner than later.
