Outlook - Tracy Brooks emerged out of the independent scene as one of the many ladies brought into NWA-TNA in its first year, but unlike all the others, she stayed and worked hard to get a spot. Although she spent a lot of her time in wacky angles and bad matches, she was eventually paired up with some promising talent to manage. Michael Shane and later Frankie Kazarian were rising stars in NWA-TNA and Traci was their manager/valet, it seemed like a winning combination. After a stint as Dusty Rhodes' assistant, Brooks rejoined Shane for a time. However, TNA seemed to sour on Shane, but not Traci. When Gail Kim was brought in, she needed a counterparts to wrestle and Traci was the logical choice as they had been trained by the same people and had worked the indies together. Kim had improved considerably and the company lacked the depth to regularly feature women's wrestling. Traci was made over as "Ms. Brooks" the valet of Robert Roode who TNA had big hopes for in the future. The heel duo became a good midcard act, but eventually a split was being teased. Now TNA's women's division is taking off and Ms. Brooks seems like a strong enough character to enter the mix, however her work is not as developed as the incoming talent. Furthermore, Brooks has a few years on her peers, so TNA may not want to invest much in her as an in-ring talent. This competition could threaten her, but she has been a loyal talent for most of TNA's life, so perhaps her seniority will carry her through.
