Outlook - Elijah Burke is one of those talents who look very good in OVW because his strengths are played up and weaknesses are disguised so well. He is a great athlete who Jim Cornette and Danny Davis have molded into a great selling babyface. Burke seemed almost like a young Ricky Steamboat, although it seems unlikely he'll develop into worker of that level. He has more charisma than Steamboat did at the same stage, but that strength needs to be utilized properly. In the WWE, he was paired with Sylvester Terkay and they worked an MMA gimmick. Burke's distinct look set him apart from other new talents. While Terkay was a bust, Burke developed into a promising heel. Although he will need a few years of seasoning in the WWE, if Burke is protected and allowed to grow, he could become an excellent uppercard talent or at the least a solid midcarder.
