Outlook - One of the original students from the TWA, Lance Cade was the big kid with good potential, but by most people's accounts he was the least impressive of the crop. The big four: himself, Brian Danielson, Brian Kendrick and Shooter Schultz were picked up on WWF Developmental contracts and sent to Memphis in 1999. When WWF began cutting talent, Cade was the only one of the bunch to survive because he had the size and look, though many still believed he was the least accomplished of the three. Cade became good, but not as good as Danielson or Kendrick who have shined in several places at different times. Lance Cade, a long-time babyface, was made over by Jim Cornette playing a Buddy Landell-type heel despite his above average stature. The WWE has brought him back up and put him back in the babyface up-and-comer role and he never really got over strongly. They hung on to him and finally put him in the right role with the right partner. Cade became a pretty boy cowboy and was paired with redneck trucker Trevor Murdoch. The duo have become one of the WWE's best tag teams. Although Murdoch has the style and color, Cade accents him well and they have established themselves fairly well. Cade has finally reached a level that many felt he was capable of when he first broke in, hopefully he can continue to progress and perhaps become a bigger deal in his thirties.
