Outlook - Pro-wrestling has played off stereotypes for most of its life that it seems doomed to continue to do it. Blacks in pro-wrestling are often portrayed the most negatively and Cryme Tyme is one of the recent incarnations. Shad Gaspard is one of the most well-rounded athletes that have ever come through the WWE's developmental system, further more he has the size and look to be a player. His partner, JTG, is also an athletic talent albeit smaller and less fitting of the WWE ideal. It will be interesting to see the progression of both men. Gaspard has been in OVW for quite a while and he has progressed, but he is lacking that piece that can bring him to the next stage. If he found that piece and the WWE could adequate market him, using his unique history, his athletic past or something else, he could definitely be in the upper midcard in a couple years. JTG has the color to be something interesting, but that aspect might play against him in the long run. His future seems more limited unless he really catches on strong. Cryme Tyme the team is a perfectly fine platform for both men for the time being. They have great chemistry, but have individual personalities that could get over well as a singles star and that could lead to a rushed breakup.
