Outlook - Matt Striker has a unique story. He was a high school social studies teacher in New York, but eventually his second life, as a pro-wrestler, began encroaching on his day job. As happens with some successful independent wrestlers, Striker decided to leave that job to do pro-wrestling and they are able to take their career to a new level. For Striker, he was able to get some mainstream exposure and was eventually signed by the WWE. Although his wrestling style was a little unusual for their "sports entertainment," Striker's personality was a perfect match. From impersonating old WWF stars to drawing heat as an arrogant teacher in argyle-print attire, Matt Striker has been able to really carve a niche for himself. He has become what Shane Douglas could not, he is also a big mouth, but Striker has the modesty to be hokey in his role. Since it has worked well, it seems like Striker will play this role until they decide to repackage him or he goes away.
