Outlook - In 1998 when injuries forced Shawn Michaels into retirement, it was sad to see one of the most talented pro-wrestlers ever finished after only fourteen years and only three or four years as a top star. Michaels was still visible though and had the ability to be meaningful in a limited role. Then after a four year absence, he made a comeback. From the start, it was uncertain how it would or could last, but it has been several years and Shawn Michaels is still going strong and working hard. A born-again Christian in his forties with a banged up body, Michaels seems like an unlikely candidate to be a top star in the WWE again. However, he has shown his true ability by doing what he does and means a lot amongst the younger and less savvy roster. Although his run has been more amazing than one could have anticipated, Shawn Michaels is not going to be able to sustain his pace for much longer. With a lighter load, he could keep going like Ric Flair has, but his body has been battered and time will not do him any favors. Expect him to remain a key part of the roster as he continues into the last stage of his legendary career.
