Outlook - Southern Ontario has been turning into a fertile ground for independent pro-wrestling in recent times. Talent from the Northern Midwest, Upstate New York and Quebec have been able to come and work with a variety of indy talent. One local boy who showed some potential was a Eric Young trainee who wrestled as Shawn Spears. Boosting good height and good looks, Spears was an ideal sign for the WWE. He was pushed strongly in OVW as the tag partner and eventually the main rival of Cody Runnels. Spears got over well as Runnels' jealous partner and has been developing steadily as a heel since that turn. His rivalry with Colt Cabana has kept him strong and it will be interesting to see how he is used in FCW. Shawn Spears has the physical tools to definitely be something special, however he does not have the strength of personality to get over without a good angle or character.
