Outlook - Minds in pro-wrestling make odd decisions sometimes. Sometimes a person's career can be made or destroyed by a single decision. Cliff Compton had been around for quite a while and never made much noise, then in OVW he was put in a time machine and sent back to the 1950s. He did not become Buddy Rogers or Antonino Rocca though, he became Domino, a 50s greaser complete with a leather jacket and Andrew Dice Clay inspired mic work. It was a hilarious act that was complimented by Cherry, wearing a poodle skirt and rollerskates no less. Then they added Deuce to complete the act. Jim Reiher Jr., the adopted son of Jimmy Snuka, had been five years in the business with inconsistant results. He lacked the innate charisma or innovative in-ring work of the original Superfly. After working as Deuce Shade, a babyface card shark, he adopted Domino's gimmick and provided the backbone to the Throw-backs. After working the kinks out of their act, Deuce n' Domino have pulled together something that fit the WWE's new tag team division well. Their in-ring has definite limitations, but they have been able to mask it fairly well. While their gimmick has potential to be entertaining, many question the marketability and longevity of it.
