Place in History - Yuki Ishikawa was always the big wig in BattlARTS and would help establish a number of talented worked shooters in the company's short lifespan. After winning a collegiete championship in sumo, Takashi Ishikawa seemed to be a potential star. His straightforward approach didn't garner much of a following, so when the opportunities to do more realistic wrestling came along, he seized them. While he improved his skills in the popular worked shoot style, it wasn't until Fujiwaragumi dissolved that his biggest break came. As the president of BattlARTS, Ishikawa was able to make himself strong and improved greatly as a result. He was perhaps the company's best talent, despite having some stiff competition. Since their death, Ishikawa's done everything from more traditional wrestling to actual shootfighting with mixed results. He's best at the worked shoot style and when he can do it with a sound opponent he's one of the best.
