Place in History - Mitsuya Nagai was with RINGS from the beginning, playing the up-and-coming native. He was Maeda's second and in time would have been right there with the company's founder and top star. Unfortunately many new natives came in and took his place because they were just better than he was. Nagai was an upper midcarder and when in there with those top flight fighters was able to hang. His career in RINGS may not have made him a superstar, but he was able to go to All Japan and get an immediate push. He may be destined to simply be a guy near the top who just can't get there.
