Place in History - Minoru Tanaka was the resident good-looking kid who was always dynamic in the ring. Aside from his training year with Fujiwaragumi and rookie year with RINGS, Tanaka spent his formative years with BattlARTS and quickly became a promising junior with superstar potential. Combining his athletic ability and knowledge of shootfighting, Tanaka was as a exciting a talent as any that BattlARTS ever had. Before jumping to New Japan, Tanaka was being pushed strongly and working with some of the best workers on the independent scene. While he's left some of his peers behind, Minoru Tanaka's role in BattlARTS was as a midlevel guy and not the top star as one might think now. He was popular because of uniqueness and good looks, but wasn't properly pushed until he began entertaining working abroad. Tanaka still retains largely the same style that he used in those days and when he can really display it he looks his best.
