Outlook - Ryuki Ueyama could probably be labelled as the major protege of Kiyoshi Tamura. The two have many similiarities, but the main difference is the Japan that they experience. Tamura came up as a fantastic pro-wrestler and parlayed that fame into becoming a major drawing card, although not top notch fighter. Ueyama has slowly been working up the MMA circuit and is pretty good, but has proven to be very good pro-wrestler as well. While U-Style can't give Ueyama the exposure and fame thar Pride's Bushido shows can, it is something he has a future in regardless of what happens in his fighting career. He is still young enough that he should focus on Pride for now, but hopefully U-Style will be a company that he can really shine in.
