Place in History - While Lou Thesz may have believed bringing in Vader was the beginning for the end of the UWFi group, few others share those sentiments. While he had never competed at an elevated level in any combative sport, neither did many of the company's top fighters. He was big and menacing, in the prime of his wrestling career and made a perfect foil to Nobuhiko Takada. There battles stand up as the company's best in many people's eyes and with good reason. Vader was physically tough and while not a "tough guy" according to insiders, he was willing to wrestle a stiff match. He picked up the style very well and in his time with the UWFi, Vader was a tremendous heel and brought the pro-wrestling flair that all of the gaijins really lacked.
