Chapman wins Ohio Award with Texas Ranger Display
D.A.C.A. Life Member Paul Chapman won the First Place Display Award at the Ohio Gun Collectors Show for his Texas Ranger Display. Paul won out over 101 other displays to cop the first place award-$2,000.
The Show was held May 15 & 16 in Brook Park, Ohio.
Items in Paul's winning display are:
Colt .45 automatic, engraved Smith & Wesson and a pair of Colt Commanders that belonged to Special Ranger Leon Simmons.
Pair of .45 automatics with gold and silver grips and a Kabar Bulldog knife belonging to Ranger Bob Badgeff.
Pair of .45 automatics with gold and silver grips, Winchester 94 with a leather wrapped stock that belonged to Ranger Capt. Jay Banks.
Cut-away holster and High Standard riot gun of Capt. G.W. Burks.
Pair of consecutively numbered Sig-Sar .45s belonging to Ranger Capt. David Byrnes.
Winchester 94 presented to Ranger Trenton Horton at the first Ranger reunion in 1977.
Remington 870 shotgun presented to Ranger Capt. Jay Banks at the 3rd Texas Ranger Reunion in 1979.
Saddle belonging to Capt. Tom Hickman.
Several pistols belonging to various Texas Rangers.
Assorted Texas Ranger photo-graphs. badges, ID cards and leather cases.
