The community's foundational perspective is inspired by the gospel as experienced within the Roman Catholic and Marianist heritages. As an educational enterprise, it strives to implement the Marianist intentions for secondary education. It believes that holistic education demands more than instruction and is fully achieved in a community spirited by a faith and trust as modeled by the gospel family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
