KEVIN McGIMPSEY - biographic details: 

Born: 1962, nationality: Irish. Well experienced in performance poetry under the stage name Jerry Jigger, in Bristol, Belfast, Leicester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, New York and Toronto. Billed as an international performer in Texas at the Austin Intenational Poetry Festival 1997.

Completed the first draft of a novel, Undertow, in December 1996. Poetry published with New Hope International, in Hyde, England, both poetry and prose by The Big Spoon, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The story A Private View was published in The New Writer September 1997 issue, as a runner-up from the Ian St. James Short Story Competition 1996, and another short story, Real Identities, was also selected as a runner-up in 1999. Two poems were 'highly commended' in the 1997 Poetry Can competition.

Kevin currently lives in Bristol, England, where he is busy producing Punishment - an ambitious film adaption of a Kafka short story. As well as writing, he is involved in theatre, graphic design and performance. He is also a diver, an anthropologist, a musician, and a natural history enthusiast.
