Purple Glitter Fire
from her mouth spit purple glitter fire words
slapping the faces and caressing the lips
of every shocked audience member
she flew on her wings of raging surprise
holding their attentions like string puppets
making them giggle, sob, fume and cower
in the red velvet seats of the Frederick Theatre
and she reigned drama queen in this moment
because he had sent her to the moon
and never brought her back
