Next Valentine's Day, I'll Just Stay Home
Oh Saint Valentine, Saint Valentine
If only the man I loved were mine
No candy hearts, no teddy bears
No charming bows to tie my hair
No pink stationary, fragranced with perfume
No more dance dates at the Boom-Boom Room
No long stemmed roses, no Hallmark cards
No more Shakespeare, I've run nine yards
Goodbye chocolates, moonlit walks
Adios phone calls, midnight talks
Ciao to kisses, bye bye Cupid
I think these things are rather stupid
This year in love I've had no luck
I should surrender before it starts to suck
Next Valentine's Day, I'll just stay home
and keep on writing sappy love poems!
