Back to Poetry
Void to Fill
Nothing lasts forever
So don't try to hold on
I believe it's for the better
Yet the days can seem so long

The sobs will wrack my conscience
No silver kisses on the breeze
I seldom miss my innocence
I embrace the solitude with ease

Soft lips like red rose petals
Stone black heart, she's lost
You may believe her touch can heal
But her love comes with a cost

I refuse to pretend I understand
and perhaps I never will
Why I can't seem to take a stand
for my own void to fill
