ecause we pride ourselves as much on our personal approach as on our wide range of services, we have put together this leaflet to help you put some faces to names.

We realise that this carries with it some intrinsic risks but on balance we feel sure that once you get to know us you will agree that although we pose no threat to the Hollywood Greats, the way we look after clients is second to none.

“A good accountant is one who tells you today what other people only learn tomorrow.”

John Cardnell  The senior partner. John joined the firm in 1980 after training in the City. He became a partner in 1986 and is a member of the Institute’s Audit Faculty and the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants.

John is married with lots of children. He is a keen follower of rugby and likes to appear on stage (in an amateur capacity) and occasionally on the golf course (if no one else objects!).

Yvonne Mantle  Yvonne joined the firm in 1980 after working for Lloyds Bank plc in their Trust and Investment Management Department. Yvonne has been significant in the development of our taxation services. She now leads a first class department which is constantly expanding.

Yvonne is married with two children. When she has a moment to spare, she disappears into the garden……..

Colin Raven  Colin has been a partner since 1988. He joined the firm having qualified in the City. His career has been based in practice and he is now responsible for a wide-ranging client base. He is a member of the Institute’s Tax Faculty, a Rotary member and mentor with the Prince’s Trust. Until recently Colin was Honorary Treasurer of the Bromley Business Partnership.

Married with two children, he plays hockey and squash.

Peter Tymms  Peter joined the firm in 1997. He qualified with a London Practice in 1988 and has worked in public practice ever since. His main activity within the firm is auditing and accountancy and related matters.

If he has spare time, Peter is a keen walker and follows Rugby Union from a safe distance.

Paul Allan  Paul joined the firm in 2003 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant whilst working in Canterbury. He became a partner in 2005. His particular areas of specialism  within the firm are accounting and auditing.

Paul is married with a young family and finds ample opportunity to challenge authority as a player manager of a successful (so he says) Sunday league football team.

John Corney John joined the firm in 1967 following experience gained with Chartered Accountants in Bedford Row, wc1. As a Fellow of the Association of Authorised Accountants he became manager of the firm before being admitted as a partner in 1991.

John is a Rotarian and was President of the Rotary Club of Bromley in 2003-2004. He attempts to play golf and pursues other leisure activities beyond the office.

Retired 31 March 2006.
