NBA Comparisons:

Optimistic Outlook: Tim Thomas
Pessimistic Outlook: Chuck Person (right now)

Positives: Great size and ability for a small forward. Exceptional shooter and scorer. Loves to shoot the three pointer and is unstoppable when he gets in the zone. A good athlete for his size. Excellent at moving off the ball.

Negatives: Very inconsistent and has terrible off nights. While he is a good shooter he struggles to score any way else. Not good at creating his own shot or taking his defender off the dribble. Horrible ball handling and passing skills. He has yet to develop a low post game. A mediocre rebounder despite his 6-10 height. Very skinny and underdeveloped physically. Defensive skills are mediocre at best.

Bottom Line: Despite his physical gifts and above average athleticism, Darius Rice is very one-dimensional. All he can really do is catch and shoot. While he is a good shooter he lacks any consistency. He can shoot 10-17 one game then shoot 4-19 the next.
