2003 Stats

NBA Comparisons:

Optimistic Outlook: Darvin Ham
Pessimistic Outlook: Chris Porter

Strengths – One of the most explosive athletes in College basketball. Has an impressive 36-inch standing vertical leap and 40 inch running vertical. An exciting finisher who dunks any chance he gets. Very strong and well built. A tenacious defensive player who plays with intensity.

Weaknesses – A poor shooter from anywhere outside five feet. Shoots free throws worse then Shaq. Has no 3-point range whatsoever. Struggles to score anyway other then on dunks and put backs. Horrible ball handling skills, especially for a guard. He has worse shooting and ball handling skills than most centers in the NBA. Very poor basketball fundamentals, with a limited basketball IQ. A very poor passer with a negative assist to turnover ratio.

Isma’il Muhammad is a great athlete and a very exciting dunker. Despite his exceptional athletic ability, he is a pathetic basketball player by NBA standards. Will never make it in the NBA until he develops a jumpshot and vastly improves on his basic fundamentals.
