Positives: Strong, poised, heady,
explosive. He has great basketball instincts and leadership
on the court. Runs his team so well and often wills
the team to victory. Very determined. Excellent at penetrating
through the defense and finishing with authority. Very
strong and uses his strength to his advantage so well
when exploding through the lanes. Great court vision
and excellent passer. Great ball handling skills and
is exceptionally quick. Improving outside shooter. Good
rebounder for a point guard. Although he is an excellent
scorer, he still loves to get his teammates involved.
Negatives: Critics cite his height
being a problem, but Nelson uses his combination of
quickness and strength to beat his opponents. Although
he is improving his shot, could still use some work
and shoot more consistently. Overall he is a smart player
except when he takes those ridicously difficult turnaround
fadeaway jumpers. He shoots these when he needs to space
himself from taller defenders. I just don't see the
point of him taking such hard shots that never go in. |
