2003 Stats

NBA Comparisons:

Optimistic Outlook: Poor Man's Scottie Pippen

Pessimistic Outlook: Chris Jefferies

Strengths – Josh Childress is an extremely versatile wing player. He is a great rebounder because of his athleticism and incredible wingspan. A very smooth offensive player with good ball handling and shooting ability. He has good range and can shoot the three. He is also a good passer. A great athlete who is quick and explosive. Has the potential to become a great defender in the NBA because of his long arms and mobility.

Weaknesses – Needs to gain weight and get stronger. Is a twig at 6’8 yet barely 200 pounds. Must get stronger and tougher in order to compete with NBA players. His jumpshot is good but not great. Outside jumper could use some work. Might need to become more assertive and aggressive, he could have averaged a lot more then 15ppg at Stanford.
