Strengths: Very athletic and versatile player. Gay has very good speed running the floor and exellent leaping ability. He can score from the perimeter or the low post. He has a good jumpshot which most high schoolers lack. He can hit the midrange jumper with great accuracy and is developing a nice outside jumper. Very hard to guard in the post, he already has a great turnaround jumper. Unselfish player who trusts his teammates.

Weaknesses: Needs to get stronger and gain weight. His body has not filled out yet and needs to hit the weight room. Ball handling skills need some work. Not a great slasher because of his poor handles. Still learning the game and maturing.
