The Last Hour
By
William H. Smith
Remember when, before the
New Year of 2000 Dooms Day forecasters and the officials of the various global
governments were in a panic. About all
the catastrophic events that they believed were about to take place all over
the world when this 2000-year started.
1. Computers were going to be corrupted by viruses.
2. Financial
institutions would fail.
3 . Entire countries would
experience shut down.
4. Utilities and food supplies would be shut down.
5 . There would be civil uprisings, terrorists'
actions, and general chaos throughout the
world.
6. God will send
his son, and the Rapture would take place.
Of course none of these things came to past, the scare tactics were obviously a ploy to commercialize the new year, an abundance of computer software, books, food, and various items were sold because of the scare. This shows how the human mind can be manipulated by terrorizing the general public through the news media.
True Christians weren’t
intimidated by the forecasts of the coming bogus events, and
saw them for what they
were. If the Dooms Day predictors and
the government officials would have had a relationship with Christ they would
not have been frightened by the coming of year 2000, because of this they
didn’t there was a waste of tax payer, and private dollars.
No one can foresee the
future, but we Christians know that Christ will spirit his church away one day
soon. We have no idea when this will
occur, even Christ doesn’t know the hour when he will call his Church, only our
heavenly Father knows this. It may be
many days away, or it may be today or tomorrow, but he will come soon.
Christians are scorned,
ridiculed, and discriminated against for their beliefs, this is a part of being
a devoted Christian. We know the
Rapture is near and it will arrive soon, are you ready? Many people who believe they are Christians will
be left behind with the nonbelievers.
Christ said, “The lukewarm I will spew out of my mouth,” Jesus is saying
that each individual confessing Christian must be hot. Those left behind and become Christians
after the rapture will be hunted, persecuted, and killed for seven years until
Christ returns to destroy the evil on earth.
Visualize this, when multitudes of people all over the world disappear
and find themselves in chaos, there will come a realization, that there was
something to this Heavenly Father and Jesus
Christ hypothesis. Many will come to Christ and be steadfast,
while others will be weak and receive the mark of the beast in
their hand or forehead.
Why would anyone want to take a chance of living through the seven dreadful years of the Great Tribulation?
Think maybe you should get
serious about Jesus Christ today?
Believe, be baptized, and
receive the Holy Spirit.
