Course Familiarization and Warm-Ups

  • Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course without a dog, prior to the start of the class, following the judge's briefing. The walk-through is restricted to handlers entered only in that class. A walk-through period will be held prior to each class, following the judge's briefing.
  • There will be NO course familiarization for Novice A and B dogs on either Saturday or Sunday.
  • A warm-up area consisting of a regulation jump shall be provided for all exhibitors. Exhibitors may NOT use the warm-up area to relieve their dogs.

Exhibitor Information

  • At the handler's option, dogs may wear flat (buckle or release) collar, but there shall be no hanging tags or attachments.
  • Choke collars, pinch collars, electric and dummy collars are prohibited.
  • Exhibitors may wear shirts or insignia of their training group if they wish.
  • Food and toys are not permitted in the course area and handlers are not permitted to use whistles or other instruments or devices.
  • Group banners may be displayed but shall be placed so the movement of the banners does not distract the dogs on course.
  • Obstacles meet the specifications for obstacles in current edition of Regulations for Agility Trials.
  • Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.
  • Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Handlers alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when classes are called to be judged.
  • All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged, when in the exercise ring, or in the designated agility warm-up area.

Move-Ups

  • All Sunday move-up requests must be submitted in writing and received by the Trial Secretary within ½ hour after the close of judging. Dogs moved up will be entered at the end of the running order.

Crating
  • Indoor crating is available inside the WCOTC Training Center. As indoor crating area is limited, high occupancy x-pens will be permitted inside the building. Friday night set-up is available between 7 - 9 PM.

Food

  • A food vendor is available to provide lunch, snacks and beverages.

Ring Etiquette

So that the Gate Steward knows that you are present and intend to run, check-in with the Gate Steward at least 1/2 hour before you are scheduled to run. Do this with each class in which you are entered each day.

If you have a ring conflict, notify the Ring Steward before the class begins to run. Attendance at a briefing and/or walk-through takes precedence. Ring 1 takes precedence. If you do not show up for your run and have not previously notified the Gate Steward of a conflict, you will have missed your opportunity to run.
