Final Fantasy XI

Final Fantasy XI
(insert intro to my name) nny review.

There are a lot of things I like to do; eat babies, make fun of retards at school, spend my life on ffxi, but spending my life away on ffxi is far the most important. I received a copy of FFXI from my friend Andrew one day, and ever since that day (Friday to be exact...Or it might of been Thursday.. Well ever since ONE of those days..) I have been killing bunnies with giant axes and slicing up giant hump-backed possessed to kill others, sheep. This giant online RPG will catch your attention right away.. A very slowly right away if you goto a public school although. Please sit back as you gaze at my amazing, somewhat informing, review on FFXI.

Visuals:

Visuals isn’t necessarily what Square-Enix was aiming for, I believe.. While it is still visually stunning, not so as much as other FF games, or other games in general for the PC. The game isn’t necessarily about graphics, is what you figure out, hopefully by yourself. I figure computer/gaming newbies who cant grasp the concept that its not about the graphics but the gameplay. Thats why videogames EXSIST in the first place, to have fun, not to wonder in amazement on how it looks REAL. Which brings me to another point on my giant list of rants not relating to the subject im supposed to be ranting about, video games don’t HAVE to look real and I don’t HAVE to write every other word in caps, so ill stop NOW. Imagine playing in a city that looks incredibly realistic with everything looking very realistic, even your player, doing unrealistic things, things you could do in the old games. Say you jump 300 feet in the air in this realistic city while shooting a rocket launcher that launches giant balls of flaming venus fly trappers that set fire to anything it hits, then proceeds to eat the flaming victim, and say it was made in the coolest most fun way EVER, but NO (shit sorry about the caps lock promise) that wouldn’t be fun because its not REALISTIC! I mean the graphics are but the game isn’t... Move the fuck on before the entire video game business is completely ruined by monotonous gaming, we need change and not that THIS GAME IS GOING TO CAUSE CONTROVERSY BECAUSE IT HAS BAD STUFF IN IT kind of change, that isn’t a change, that’s stupidity. Back to FFXI, the graphics are good but not wow that’s super duper realistic looking good, but after than rant im convinced myself to give it a:

9.5/10

Controls

The controls are VERY nice, very well setup. Agian, stupid people I.E. (Skullworm shouts “BLACKS!”) *ahem* people who goto public schools, In special ED classes (ie..people..who goto....public.......schools..) And (Skullworm shouts agian “BLACKS!!”) ... never-mind, lets just say its hard for beginers. But im sure if you can read this far into the review, then you’re PROBABLY smart enough to play FFXI. The controls are basically 8,4,6,2 move, up down left right are the camera angle controls, and the left, right, and middle mouse buttons do the rest of the work. If you can read, you can play this game. (SkullWorm shouts out “BLACKS NOT ALLOWED!!”)

Controls:8.5/10

Audio

Okay well it is great in the Audio department, its Audio pretty-much matches the Video concept of the game, its good, but not the greatest. Probably the best Sound I’ve heard on the entire game is the Song you hear while riding a Chocobo, which is a orchestrated version of the old Chocobo riding song in FF4.. Or 3... I don’t give a fuck anymore it was in an Final Fantasy.. Believe me.

Audio:9/10

Overall

Figuring I barely talked about this very addicting game, I guess I wont start now. It’s a great game, best game I’ve ever played on-line actually, and that’s a fucking good game then. Besides from the numerous Americans there, you’ll soon realize, Japanese people are much more pleasant to deal with. A few things to know before going online; to fight things you should hit 0 on your number pad to switch between people/enemies then ENTER one key away to select it, ENTER again once more to fight it, I find that the easiest way to go around doing my business. Remember, when talking to Japanese people, they only understand SIMPLE WORDS, simple words such as “hello” or “egg” translate for them automatically.

Now for your viewing pleasure, a clip from an actual conversation Jeff had on FFXI with an Japanese person:

Brolli: *insert a ton of Japanese symbols that don’t translate into English..*
Jeff: ENGLISH..
Brolli: no im Japanese.
Jeff: REALLY!??!?!!!??!”

Overall:9.5/10
