| Boötes is most easily seen by finding Arcturus. Under good conditions, a few other stars can be seen nearby, but in general, they are faint. Arcturus The best way to find Arcturus is to follow the curve of the big dipper's handle and extend it until you see a reddish star. This is Arcturus. If you extend the arc beyond Arcturus, you'll come to Spica. Just remember, "arc to Arcturus." |
