“Wufei…wake up…”
Wufei opened his eyes and squinted into the bright early morning sunlight. “Woman! What are you doing here?” he demanded.
Sally laughed and kissed him gently, “I’m surprising you.”
“Hnn,” Wufei responded, but pulled her down closer to him for another kiss. Sally smiled into the kiss and wrapped her arms around him as his powerful arms pulled her onto the bed beside him. “What’s the surprise?” Wufei demanded as his lips left Sally’s.
“Well, it wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you, now would it?” Sally admonished and smiled as Wufei’s lips traveled down her temple and face to her throat. “Stop, or we’ll never get out of here!”
“Is that so bad?” Wufei asked, kissing her collarbone.
“Bad boy,” Sally swatted his hand playfully. “We’re not married, remember?”
“So?” Wufei continued peppering her face and neck with kisses.
“So I’ll meet you downstairs in ten minutes,” Sally announced, sliding off the bed. “See you soon,” she laughed and kissed him once more before disappearing out of his bedroom.
//Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass.
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step.
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.//
“Where are we going?” Wufei demanded. Sally had blindfolded him the second he had gotten into the car with her and was delightedly giving him hints and half-clues to where they were going.
“Somewhere similar to a place I’ve told you about hundreds of times before,” Sally said smiling happily as she saw Wufei’s fingers reach up to his blindfold. “It’s dishonorable to peek.” Wufei scowled and removed his hand from the blindfold.
“At the moment I hate honor,” Wufei sulked.
“And we’re here,” Sally sang out a moment later.
“Good.” Wufei started to remove the blindfold.
“No! Not yet!” Wufei sighed and sat back with an air of resignation. Sally leaned over and kissed him gently on the lips, “Thank you Wufei.”
//Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight.
Lead me out on the moonlit floor.
Lift your open hand.
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance,
Silver moon's sparkling.
So kiss me.//
“Okay, you can look!” Wufei eagerly tore off his blindfold and looked around. They were at a park…on a hill somewhere and Sally was sitting on a blanket on the ground, holding a picnic basket. “See, I told you about the park I used to go to when I was little,” Sally said in a rush. She jumped up and grasped his hand tightly as she pointed out all the familiar things that were so much like the park of her memories. “See, that lake? There was a lake with a mile-trail along it; we used to walk it. And there was a barn with geese about there-,” Sally chattered on happily pointing out the things that were so familiar and yet so different, never noticing the softening of Wufei’s face as he watched her chatter on.
At last Sally stopped talking and turned to him, flushing from both excitement and embarrassment. “Do you like it? I know you’re not one to go out to parks and be one with nature and stuff, but this park reminded me so much like the one at home…and I wanted to show you and to share it with you.” Sally’s lips trembled as Wufei clasped her arms firmly.
“Thank you,” Wufei said simply. “It’s beautiful.” Sally smiled and Wufei kissed her soundly, pulling her down with him to the blanket.
//Kiss me down by the broken tree house.
Swing me upon its hanging tire.
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat.
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map. //
A soft rain pattered the ground. “Cra-ap,” Sally groaned. “The day is ruined.” She looked entirely defeated and crestfallen. “I wanted today to be perfect!”
“It is,” Wufei assured her, drawing her near and wrapping his arms around her.
Sally looked puzzled, “But its pouring and I never got to show you half the things I wanted-,”
“But I got to see you with rain in your hair,” Wufei said gently. Sally flushed and Wufei chuckled softly as he kissed her gently.

So kiss me.//
