This page showcases whatever weird thing I decide to showcase. This time it's a band.
Blaster is the type of band that makes some people go....... Ewww. Turn it off.

The others go........... Ewww......... I think I like this.....(a beat)......(or two).. Yup, I definitely like it!

I have had the privilege to purchase a copy of "Succulent Space Food For Teething Vampires" and I think everyone should be able to. Not that you'll necessarily like it, but it would be nice if people were able to buy a copy, because right now they are hard to come by. For those who like old-school punk music and/or old horror and sci-fi movies, drop a line to XBxTX@aol.com and order yourself a copy! When I bought my copy, they were only ten bucks, and if that still holds, it's a great deal!

I really don't know much about the band besides what I found on this page: Christian Punk Page: BtRB One thing that really drew me to this band was the inclusion of the gospel message at the beginning of the lyrics in the CD jacket, and at the end of the lyrics, they include a nice disclaimer and encouragement to all the Bro's/Sis's in Christ. The end of the CD also includes approx. 20 minutes of a live concert (Cornerstone?) and that includes the gospel message also! Blaster uses familiar horror/sci-fi themes to express spiritual truths. I find this fasinating, and I'm still trying to understand all of the comparisons. It really is a thought-provoking disc, something that is lacking in most punk music today. I am eagerly waiting for the next project by these guys. I will spare you the "other band comparisons" that most music reviews get, and let you make your own conclusions. Listen to the real audio clip on the link above to get a better feel for the band.

Update!

Blaster has changed it's name to "Blaster the Rocketman"! This is probably because they were tired of being confused with the band "Rocketboy" or maybe they just grew up........

They now have a web page! and here it is!

Blaster the Rocketman's homepage of Horrors!

If you haven't noticed, the Christian Punk Page link is dead. I'm leaving it there because that's how it was originally, and hey, maybe the link will be resurrected!
