I: Call to order, 4:02pm
-Officers in attendence:
-President
-Treasurer
-Secretary
-Members in attendance:
-Rob Swanson
-Marc Samuelson
-Jaime Scaringi
-Jeff Zielinski
II: Reports
-President's Report:
"Nope" (that's a direct quote).
-Vice President's Report:
seeing as how he was AWOL, there's nothing here either.
-Secretary's Report:
things are still running along swimmingly for the Shannon Reeves event.
-Treasurer's Report: Presented
in the form of an English Sonnet.
III: Old Business
-Reagan B-Day wrap-up: The
Bimmer was not in attendance and so we got nothing.
-Shannon Reeves Update:
the first instance of the Shannon Reeves Publicity Attack Calendar...
-Elections Seminar: sponsored
by the Delaware RC, Basil wants lots of people to show up, March 3rd
from 9am-4pm....interest
was lagging at best.
-Larry Craig Resolution:
the resolutions were sent to his office...now we wait (it would have helped
to actually
adopt the resolution first).
-YAF Conference: again,
March 30-31st, totally free. If you want to go to Pittsburgh with
Ron and Zach, sign
up with Ron and talk to him for more details.
-on a side note, Marc likes Buffalo -and- Pittsburg (though the rest of
us won't comment on the Penguins).
-T-Shirts: Mr. T.
needs your money if you ordered a shirt, and he needs it ASAP. If
you didn't order a shirt,
do so! I drew the design and it's bitchin', if I do say so myself.
Everyone should see the Republican
Hammer of Justice (perhaps spray painted next to "Wolverines" somewhere
on campus soon
IV: New Business
-Basil's New Committee of
Power: designed for minorities, women and youth, Basil wants us to contribute,
but seeing as how most of the Caucus is the majority, men, and not quite
youth.....well....But Ron
joined, and so did Jamie! No one else answered the call (see previous
sentence).
-Compassionate Conservative
Committee: The Ronald McDonald Haus event is getting chiseled into stone
by some poor children at the Haus as we speak: here's the details....when?
March 17, from 4-7pm,
but whenever we want, not to exceed 3 hours, but with enough time to cook,
clean, serve and leave
-the Committee Chairman offered to pay forr the first 2 rounds of beer for
anyone who goes---yes, we're
being bribed to help "sick kids" with beer. At that announcement,
silence...then Ron says "I'm in!"
-we need five (not 3, and not 4...but 5.&nnbsp; 6, is right out) volunteers:
so far, Ron, Jamie and Marc have
enlisted.
V: Open Forum
-Mr. T. took this time to
officially protest the Young Republicans---they were not young, and even
the fact
that they
were Republicans is questionable. The average age was 40, though
there were some 30 year
old whipper-snappers in attendance at the meeting Mr. T. went to.
-Additionally, inspired
by Prof. Moulton and the case we read in class, Mr. T. wants to start a
revolution
based on refusing to pay taxes to the US gov. duly noted.
VI: Meeting Adjourned, 4:30pm
