Arono had no interest in that at all, sadly his dreams of being search and impressing where falling away by each passing month. He looked up when he heard squabbling, Eaya his brown along with Copper Cai had ganged up on a bronze firelizard and trying to steal his fish Cai was distracting while Eaya sneaked away with the fish he couldn't help a chuckle at the pairs antics.
"Also make sure they've kept ours and Irets runners separated. Those dimglows didn’t load them right and I paid top mark for those extra mares, with the turnlings.” Arono made note of this and started to descend the steps into the hold and sure enough his fathers concerns had been justified. Though all runners had the neck tags marking them to what hold and beast master they'd be going to many where on the wrong side of the ships hold in the wrong pen. The men had underfeed the mares and had over feed the turnlings. "Those mares need more food, the turnlings are going to get sick with all that you gave them and we need to separate Irets from ours.” Arono barked out this was not the first time he'd had to do this since he was one of the few young men that had actually taken and wished to study with Midor's beastmaster. Most of the others had aspired to be sailors like their fathers before them. Arono had no desire for sailing and fishing to be his craft and had been thankful his father hadn’t forced it on him like he'd seen other holders of Midor had done to their sons. He watched as the crew of youngsters that where caring for the runners just laze about and he scowled he hated how some of the elder boys acted like this at times; not listening to him because he was younger. Doing the best to stay clam he grabbed the back one the boys lazing about and turned him to face him. “Didn’t you hear what I said or are less competent than a drudge.” Arono hissed trying to keep a lid on his anger. The boy sneered at him and rolled his eyes. “Just because you’re the captains son you just can’t come down here a order us around.” “Oh and I’m sure you’re father would love to hear from mine that you disobeyed orders.” Arono snapped knowing this would usually get them moving, he hated using threats but he wasn’t going to let them walk all over him either. Not like he liked hiding behind his fathers power but if he was going to take over the sea hold they had to know disobeying him wouldn’t get them a free ride. Story Unfinished. Will be compleated at a latter date.
