Eddie Cales was born Nov. 28,1943. He was influence by his mother Prudence Cales, who played the banjo claw hammer style. He started playing the dobro when he was 14 years old. Eddie learned to play on a old Kay guitar, using a case knife for a bar.He joined the WV Bluegrass Connection in May 1997.
