FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN

I've seen fire on the mountain
Where God met me face to face
I've worshiped at his altar
and been altered by his grace
Now I sing a new song
of new life that's lived by faith

Just like Moses climbed Mount Sinai
to receive the Lord's command
And Elijah claimed Mount Carmel
to honor God and take his stand
I've had moments of inspiration,
met challenges filled with fear
And my primary motivation
God has called me near
So I can hear him through....

Just like Peter, James and John saw Jesus
transfigured on a mountain
And Daniel's friends passed through the flames
cause they refused to bow down
I am seeing God in a whole new light
