Jerry Lynn Speaks on WWE's Politics, Heyman Still Owes Him & More

Former ECW & WWE wrestler Jerry Lynn, currently in NWA recently took some time off to do an interview with Andy Steven on wrestleBREAKdown. Here are the highlights of the interview:
-- Jerry starts off saying that he has been keeping up with TNA and doing as many indy shows on the weekend.
-- He said that he first started watching wrestling when he was 6 and he was a big fan of it. He watched AWA as he never had cable until 1983 when he started watching NWA, WWF and others. He got really hooked on wrestling then.
-- On his very first show he had 3 matches and he said that he was a nervous wreck.
-- He moves on saying that he really enjoyed working in the UK with the FWA. The crowd’s reaction to him on his FWA debut was incredible.
-- Jerry says that ECW was awesome, the backstage atmosphere was incredible and it adds on that it was the best time of his life although it wasn’t as great when the checks were not there but it was a good time.
-- He says that defeating Justin Credible for the ECW Wolrd Title on October 1st 2000, was a very special night as it was in his home town and in front of a packed house, over 5 thousand fans were there.
-- Now Jerry moves on to WWF/F’s backstage atmosphere where Jerry starts of saying that it’s a whole different atmosphere there as when you get to that level its all politics and no one want to lose their job and make money. Allot of backstabbing was also there. Everyone was walking on egg shells. It wasn’t really a good atmosphere.
-- Jerry says that WWE giving him the WWE Lightweight title was just a test to see what his attitude was like. He adds on that he was defiantly was underrated in the WWE.
-- Jerry Lynn says that he spends allot of time with AJ Style’s backstage at the NWA PPV’s.
-- He hopes that NWA will be getting a TV deal with the US soon.
-- Jerry says that his happy with working with NWA, its different to WWE and ECW, it’s not on the level of WWE however not as much politics are at NWA but they are there.
-- He moves on to a road trip story which happened a while back. He’s friend who is unnamed had a ECW tryout and night after the tryout he was misbehaving the night after the tryout and when this unnamed man when back to his room he past out so Jerry went on and shaved one of the guys eyebrows off.
-- He says that his proudest moments in wrestling are when legends in the business give him a compliment.
-- He moves on to
word association and the fist man on the list is Triple H, Jerry says that
he is very dedicated to his work however he pull allot of politics in the
WWE. Next is Paul Heyman, Jerry says that he owes him allot of money. Vince,
Mick Foley, Tommy Dreamer and others were also mentioned in the word association.
-- Jerry goes on and says that he hopes that he has a few more years left
before he will retire from wrestling then he may move on and hopefully become
a road agent.
-- Jerry says that it could be anyone from NWA who is not locked with a contract that could be joining Paul London in a development contract with the WWE.
-- Finally he thanks his fans for everything.
