KANE PLAYS TIT FOR TAT
Sept. 1, 2003
After Shane McMahon kicked Kane
into a fiery dumpster last week, Jim Ross thought that he would have to
announce Kane's death to RAW viewers this week. That was not the case, however.
Instead, when the blaze was finally quenched, Kane was nowhere to be found,
leaving many to wonder about the well being of the Big Red Machine.
Kane's well being was no longer the
question about halfway into RAW. Rather, the well being of Shane McMahon was
the more probing topic. Returning from last week's disgusting attack, Kane
decided it was his turn to torture Shane. This time, rather than using fire,
Kane attached a set of jumper cables to Shane's testicles. He then attached the
other end to a car battery. With Shane's future almost certainly ended, Rob Van
Dam ran from ringside to save the young McMahon. Luckily for Shane, RVD's attack led Kane elsewhere.
Also on RAW, Stone Cold Steve
Austin announced two more matches for September's pay-per-view event Unforgiven. In addition to Triple H vs. Goldberg for the
World Heavyweight Championship, fans can also look forward to the "Legend
Killer" Randy Orton taking on the "Icon" Shawn Michaels. In
other action, Coach, who defeated Jerry "the King" Lawler on RAW, will
face the voice of RAW, Jim Ross.
In the mega-main event of RAW, all
three members of Evolution -- Ric Flair, Randy Orton
and Triple H -- took on the threesome of Shawn Michaels, Maven and Goldberg.
The match was clearly a precursor to what fans can expect to see at Unforgiven, as tensions were running high between Michaels
and Orton, as well as Triple H and Goldberg. In the end, it was Goldberg
pinning Orton, bringing him one step closer to Triple H and the World
Heavyweight Championship.
