The Tuscon (Ariz.) Convention Center played host to the explosive April 11 episode of SmackDown! on UPN!

As the show opened, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle headed to the ring. Kurt said that last week -- in a move that was apparently good for business -- Mr. McMahon had said that Triple H would defend the Undisputed World Wrestling Federation Championship at Backlash against Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Kurt said he couldn't believe that Mr. McMahon thought people would rather see Hogan challenge for the title than Angle! As the chants of "Hogan!" began, Kurt said he beat Russians and Iranians in the Olympics a heck of a lot tougher than Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik!

Kurt said that on RAW, Ric Flair had set up an Austin-Undertaker match for the chance to face the champion after Backlash, meaning that he wouldn't have a title shot in the near future. The crowd cheered at that thought, but Kurt said it wasn't right! He said he was better than anyone on RAW or SmackDown!, and tonight, he would prove just that in his non-title match against Triple H. Kurt said he would prove to the whole world just what would have happened if Mr. McMahon hadn't gone mental and made it Hogan-Game at Backlash. He said the only "What?" the fans would be chanting was "What" an unbelievable butt-kicking Triple H was going to take!

Angle said he wanted to try something -- every time he said a sentence, he wanted the people to respond by saying, "It's true!" But still, the fans said, "What?" Kurt was soon screaming, "It's true, it's true, it's true," in a fit of rage, until suddenly Edge came out to the stage.

Edge told Kurt that his gold medal win was inspiring and uplifting, but most importantly, it was six years ago! Edge told Kurt to get out of the past and start living in the present. Edge said he would help, and said that since Kurt wouldn't have any title matches any time soon, they should settle some unfinished business at Backlash.

Angle called Edge a "snot-nosed punk," asking if he really wanted a piece of him. Angle said that at Backlash, it would be his honor to kick Edge's ass! Edge said he would say something Kurt didn't hear very often -- it's a date!

Edge said that Kurt had a point, and the people shouldn't chant "What?" after everything Kurt said. He said Kurt was a special man, and said the people should chant something else after each of Kurt's sentences. He suggested that every time Kurt spoke, everyone should show their appreciation by chanting, "You suck!"

The fans began to chant, and when Kurt tried to cut them off, they chanted "You suck!" after everything he said! Kurt then told them to hit his music, but realized that the music would only further inspire the chants, so he asked them to turn it off! Still, the music played, and the "You suck!" chants continued!

Moments later, Angle was mumbling to himself in his locker room when he was approached by Chris Jericho. Y2J said he'd seen what happened out there, and agreed that Edge was a snot-nosed punk. Y2J said there was no question that if Edge hadn't interfered, Jericho would have beaten The Rock last week. He said before Angle faced Edge at Backlash, Y2J would beat the hell out of him tonight. Angle said if there was one thing he couldn't stand, it was a loud-mouth Canadian with blond hair who dressed like a rock star -- well, except Jericho, said Angle, since Jericho was cool! Y2J said the two of them should form a little pact, and watch each other's backs if anything went down tonight with Edge, Hogan or Triple H. The two shook hands.

The first match on SmackDown! pitted Tajiri against The Hurricane. Torrie Wilson was in Tajiri's corner -- dressed from head-to-toe in a geisha outfit, which showed off none of her incredible physique! As the bout began, it was announced that Tajiri will get a rematch against Billy Kidman for the Cruiserweight Championship at Backlash in 10 days. The bout was high-flying and action-packed, with Tajiri using kicks and Hurricane using his incredible aerial maneuvers. Tajiri tried for the Tarantula, but Hurricane reversed into the "Eye of the Hurricane," only for Tajiri to get his feet on the ropes during the pinfall. Moments later, Tajiri hit a huge kick to the head, and picked up the pinfall victory.

After the bout, Tajiri brought Torrie into the ring, and again proceeded to degrade her in Japanese. But this time, out came Billy Kidman, who assaulted Tajiri with a missile dropkick!

Backstage, Stacy Keibler – dressed in her old Ms. Hancock outfit – went to Mr. McMahon's office to talk to the Federation chairman, but he was nowhere to be found. So Stacy just took a seat and waited for him.

After Godfather turned on his long-time friend The Big Valbowski this past weekend on Jakked, the two met one-on-one on SmackDown! Godfather was displaying a new look, with a denim outfit and bandana, and with no ladies accompanying him to ringside. Godfather went to the outside and grabbed the ring bell, but the referee took it away before he could use it. But while the ref was putting the ring bell away, Godfather grabbed his cane and nailed Valbowski in the throat with it! Godfather then covered his foe for the pinfall!

Back in Mr. McMahon's office, Stacy was lying on the couch reading a magazine when Vince entered. She asked if he had given any more thought to her becoming his executive assistant. Mr. McMahon said he had thought about it, but there were other candidates for the position. He said he would be interviewing all the candidates in the ring tonight on SmackDown! Vince said she was one of the leading candidates if she still wanted to apply, and Stacy said she did indeed want to apply -- and she would make him an offer he couldn't refuse!

Moments later, Mr. McMahon headed to the ring, and the red carpet was out as the Federation co-owner was set to find his personal assistant. Vince said that for some time now, he had been looking to hire a personal assistant -- not just any assistant, though. Vince wanted one with eminent qualifications. He said that since the assistant would have to appear in public sometimes, he thought it would be a good idea to hold the auditions in the ring.

Vince welcomed the first candidate -- a prudish old woman. She said her name was Sylvia Johnson, and she could type 90 words per minute, and was fluent in three languages and computers. She said she had no problem working overtime. Vince said she may be qualified, but she wasn't his type. He then dismissed her.

The next candidate was a guy -- and Vince didn't look happy with that fact! In fact, Vince chased him from the ring before the interview even began!

Vince asked for a more qualified candidate, and out came a woman, who Vince said looked more his type. She said her name was Sue Aitchison, she types 95 words a minute, and she takes dictation. Vince said he loved a great personal assistant who took dictation. Vince asked if she minded doing personal favors, and she said no problem. Vince said she was eminently qualified, unless there was someone else who wanted to apply for the job. Vince asked if there was anyone who would give him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Then, out came Stacy Keibler -- bringing a huge smile to Vince's face! Stacy told Sue to hit the road, because she wasn't getting the job! Stacy then turned her attention to Vince, asking him to take a seat. She said she wasn't going to tell Vince her qualifications -- she was going to show him! She then took her hair down and did a dance for Vince on the table, as the Federation co-owner looked on in disbelief! One of the dances shocked Vince so much that he fell out of his chair!

At the end of the dance, she put one leg on Vince's left shoulder and one on his right shoulder -- and a wide-eyed Vince proudly proclaimed that she had the job!

Maven was drinking a Slurpee backstage when he was approached by Billy, Chuck and Rico. Rico said Maven was a perfect example of how they would end up if they let themselves go. Al Snow then approached the superstars, and soon, Billy and Maven were nose-to-nose. But Rico stopped Billy, saying he didn't want him to mess up his hair! Rico said he looked forward to later in the evening, when Al took on Chuck! Chuck said he and Al had a date, and told Al not to be late, and then blew him a kiss! Al mocked Chuck, and when Al walked away, Chuck asked Billy and Rico if he really talked that way!

Sharmell interviewed Hollywood Hulk Hogan, asking his thoughts about Backlash. Hogan said when the opportunity first came his way, it was so fast, it was like a whirlwind. But since last week's SmackDown!, he had done a lot of thinking, and now he wanted to find out if Hulkamania could again conquer all, and if he could regain the Federation Championship. Hogan gave Triple H credit, but said that at Backlash ... but before Hogan could finish his thought, he was approached by Chris Jericho. Y2J told Hogan that he would be very leery about the match at Backlash. He said Hogan had nothing to lose and everything to gain, but Triple H had everything to lose. Y2J said if Triple H won, sure, he got a victory over Hogan, but if The Game lost, the eight months of rehab and the WrestleMania main event win all went down the drain. Y2J suggested that Hogan not put Triple H on the defensive, since The Game would sink to any depths to win at Backlash. Y2J said Backlash wouldn't end with a Hogan-Game handshake. Jericho asked what Hogan was gonna do when that reality came crashing down on his head. Jericho then patted Hogan on the face and walked away.

Next up, Jericho took on Edge. The bout was incredibly intense, and soon, Kurt Angle made his way out to interfere. Angle ran into the ring only to be met by a spear by Edge! That momentary lapse of concentration on Edge's part allowed Jericho to hit a modified bulldog. But when Y2J went for the Lionsault, Edge got his knees up. Edge slingshotted Jericho, and accidentally knocked out the ref. Edge locked Y2J in the Edge-ecator leglock, but there was no ref, so Edge went to revive him. Jericho knocked down Edge, and then grabbed a steel chair. But as he went to hit Edge, he was met by a spear! The ref slowly counted the pinfall, but Y2J kicked out at two. Angle climbed up on the ring apron, and when Edge went after him, Angle hung Edge on the top rope, and Jericho rolled up Edge and pinned him with a handful of tights! After the bout, Edge chased Angle away! Edge and Angle battled in the backstage area until Jericho saved Angle. The two double-teamed Edge, with Angle hitting the Angle Slam on the concrete, and locking him in the ankle lock, until suddenly, Hollywood Hogan came out to save Edge! Jericho got in a cheap shot on Hogan, and then Jericho and Angle ran away as Hogan checked on Edge.

Backstage, a number of superstars made a friendly bet on a feat of strength by Mark Henry.

As a result of their split last week, Albert took on Scotty 2 Hotty. Albert was sporting a new look, featuring short black trunks to show off his large, hairy physique. Albert used his incredible size advantage to dominate the bout, but soon Scotty had Albert in position for the Worm, only to be met with a huge scissors kick to the face. Albert then put Scotty away with the Baldobomb for the pinfall. After the bout, Albert continued the attack until Rikishi ran down for the save. Rikishi chased Albert away, and when Albert tried to sneak up on Rikishi from behind, Rikishi cleaned house and knocked Albert from the ring!

In the parking area, several superstars were still making a bet that Mark Henry could hold off the weight of a speeding limo for 30 seconds. Faarooq was at the center of taking the bets, and Test held onto the money. Henry planted his back against the wall and put his feet against the limo, as Test hit the gas pedal. Henry was indeed able to hold off the incredible power of the limo for 30 seconds, much to the superstars' amazement! As the 30 seconds ended, Test floored the gas for a few seconds, until the superstars stopped him. Henry looked to be hurt as a result of Test's actions.

In his office, Mr. McMahon was approached by D-Von Dudley, who was clad in a suit and tie. Vince said he'd sent D-Von away last week to find himself, and D-Von said he had found himself. D-Von said he also found someone else -- the man above. D-Von said that the man had told him to stop concerning himself with himself, but to concern himself with the sinners. D-Von said that to get that vision across, he needed one thing -- a benefactor. D-Von quoted a scripture, and asked Vince to help him testify. Vince said he was a very rich and powerful man, and it would be his honor to help D-Von help the sinners of the world, since he was a very righteous man himself. He said D-Von had a deal, and D-Von told him to testify.

Triple H was being taped up backstage when he was approached by Hollywood Hogan. Hogan told The Game about Jericho and Angle's pact for tonight, and said if The Game wanted, he would have his back tonight. Triple H said that in 10 days, they would fight. The Game said it wouldn't be a clash of the egos like at WrestleMania -- it would be a fight for everything he had and everything he is. The Game said that over the next 10 days until Backlash, the next time Hogan barged into his locker room, he would take it as an act of aggression, and would respond accordingly. He said as far as Hogan's offer went, thanks, but no thanks. Triple H said he would take care of his own business.

He said that's what got him the Undisputed Championship, and that's what would help him keep it. Triple H said that Hogan knew as well as anyone what the championship meant -- that The Game was the king of kings. Triple H said the two of them should just stick to their own -- every man for himself. And when they got to Backlash, Triple H said, there would be no remorse, no regret and no apologies. Hogan told Triple H not to forget that Hogan played the game longer than anybody.

Next up, Al Snow took on Chuck. Snow was seconded at ringside by Maven, while Chuck was accompanied by Billy and Rico. Despite repeated interference attempts by Billy and Rico, Snow stayed in the bout, thanks to help from Maven. Snow was able to hit the Snow Plow on Chuck and pick up the pinfall. Snow mocked an irate Billy, Chuck and Rico after the bout!

The main event on SmackDown! pitted Kurt Angle against Undisputed Champion Triple H in a non-title bout. The men traded headlocks early on, and The Game nearly hit a Pedigree after one exchange, only for Angle to escape. Triple H went for a sunset flip, and as he tried to get Angle over, he wound up pulling the Olympian's tights down, revealing a blue thong! With Angle's pants still down, The Game brutalized Kurt on the outside, even bouncing him off the announce table and throwing him into the steps. He even smacked Angle on the ass!

Angle recovered and took control, wearing The Game down in the ring. Triple H regained control, and seemingly had the pinfall after a spinebuster, only to have Chris Jericho run to ringside and pull the ref out of the ring! Y2J went after The Game, but Triple H threw him to the outside. The Game then set Angle up for the Pedigree, but Jericho downed Triple H with a bulldog and a Lionsault. Angle went for the pinfall, but The Game kicked out at two!

Jericho climbed back into the ring and a double-team on Triple H ensued, until Hollywood Hogan came down. Y2J and Angle double-teamed the Hulkster, but Hogan "Hulked up" and took out his aggression on both men! Hogan hit Angle with the big boot and clotheslined Jericho to the outside. Hogan and Jericho fought on the outside as Triple H hit the Pedigree on Angle in the ring. The Game then pinned the gold medalist and picked up the pinfall!

After the win, Triple H took the microphone and addressed Hogan, saying maybe Hollywood hadn't heard him the first time. Hogan returned to the ring and stared down The Game. Triple H said he respected Hogan, but with all due respect, until Backlash, he wanted him to stay away from his business. Hogan told Triple H to understand that until Backlash, The Game was his only business!

Hogan turned his back on Triple H, and Angle hit The Game from behind, knocking Triple H right into Hogan! Hogan got up, and thought it was Triple H who hit him -- so Hogan punched The Game, and hit him with the big boot and the legdrop! Hogan held up The Game's Undisputed Championship and talked smack to Triple H, until Jericho and Angle ran in and double-teamed Hogan. Jericho smacked Hogan across the face with the title, and Angle did the same to Triple H. Angle and Jericho stood tall over Hogan and Triple H as SmackDown! went off the air, with Jericho even wearing Hogan's torn T-shirt on his shoulders!
