The Rock, WWF to continue InVasion angle, WWF buying EcW, Jerry Lawler, and More

    - The slated release date for The Rock's movie, "The Scorpion King" is April 19, 2001. Movie critics have already shined a negative light on the movie claiming The Rock was good enough for a small involvment in the sequel to a large film, (The Mummy) but isn't good enough to be the main star in a box-office hit.

    - The main idea for the WWF is to continue with the invasion angle until it is interesting enough and popular enough to split into two seperate entities with two seperate television programs. The feeling is if the WWF can continue to dish some of it's recognized talent to the promotion, than it may be well-liked enough to start a seperate tv show. We should soon find out if it will be interesting and popular enough now that Steve Austin is on the WCW-side of the WWFE fence. Look for more defections to take place in the coming weeks.

    - WWF-E will be buying the video library of ECW as well as the name as mentioned yesterday.

    - Stacy Carter has been declining Indy bookings. Since her release from the WWF, 'The Kat' has lost interest in wrestling and is not really concerned if the WWF do not hire her back. However, she has told husband Jerry Lawler to accept anything he gets from the WWF.

Speaking of Jerry Lawler, he will be wrestling against Terry Funk in a Jersey All Pro Wrestling show on August 18th at the ECW Arena. However, Funk apparently wants $2500 to wrestle. After the event, Lawler and The Kat will sign autographs and appear for photos'.

    - Triple H has been a big influence backstage recently, although not been able to wrestler. He has given advice to fellow wrestlers and sat at the 'Gorilla Position' for the past few weeks. Recently, The Game congratulated wrestlers involved in the ECW Invasion angle.

    - It is expected that Dean Malenko will reture soon in order to become a booker in the Light-Heavyweight division. Malenko soon turns 41 which is old for a WWF wrestler.
