RVD's Performance, GMS, EcW Merchandise, EcW Storyline, The Sandman - According to reports, Rob Van Dam is being monitored very closely by WWF management. After Buff Bagwell's incident with the WWF a few weeks ago, WWF officials have been watching stars with a "repuatation" more closely. However, so far, RVD has been making a good impression backstage, and has been a "model employee."- Brian "Grandmaster Sexay" Christopher will take on Mr. Jimmy Cicero at the Maryland Championship Wrestling card on Saturday, September 15th. The show begins at 7:30pm, and will take place at the FestTent on the Fort Meade Army Base. - Apparently, the WWF can not sell any kind of ECW merchandise can not be sold by the WWF until the HHG bankruptcy issue is completely cleared up, even though the company bought the rights to the logo and trademarks. - There are two theories discussed backstage in the WWF regarding the success of the storyline of involving ECW in the WCW Invasion. One group of wrestlers believe that it is due to Paul Heyman that the whole angle is a hit. It was Paul Heyman who convinced Stephanie McMahon to be a part of the angle. However, others credit Vince McMahon for not falling for the temptation of using Heyman as a major character in the storyline, since Heyman could back out later. Officials feel that should anything happen between Vince and Heyman, Stephanie would be there and so the storyline would not suffer much. - Former ECW wrestler The Sandman would be starting a new promotion from August 11th at the ECW arena. He would be the main booker. The shows are then scheduled for September 20, 22 and 23. The talent already signed are Bill Alfonso, Sabu, Curt Henning, Dawn Marie, Simon Diamond, Blue Meanie, Jasmin St. Claire, Roadkill, Crowbar, Steve Corino and many more. They are in negotiations with some other huge superstars as well.
