Lycos.com, Invasion, RVD, Chris Kanyon - Lycos.com has updated the weekly top 50 ranked searches, and the WWF has made it week 101 on the chart, moving up two places, from #12 last week, to #10 this week. The searches occupying the positions above and below the WWF respectively are Napster (#9) and Pokemon (#11). - Normally, the WWF tries to check in at the respective arena that they are using up 2 days in advance, so that they can construct the Titan Tron, Ring and the Rampway, and put up all of the fan chairs, with day one being the “set-up” day.
However, for Invasion, the WWF couldn’t do this, as there was a WBNA Rockers game the night before. To add to this, it was “N’Sync Experience Night”, and after the game had finished, there was a pasty with N’Sync’s new album. This meant that the clean-up crew didn’t even get started until 11pm, meaning all the set-up had to be done on the day of the PPV.
With so much work to be crammed into the Sunday, including a new set, with the 2 rampways, it was always going to be a tight fit, time wise.
The second WCW rampway was still being constructed right up until the last moment, with WWF crewmembers even working hard right until the PPV started, including through HeAT. This is why Chavo Guerrero Jr. had to come down the WWF side for his match against Scotty 2 Hotty. Also, the WWF had to delay the fans’ entry into the arena by 30 minutes, as the seats hadn’t all been laid down for the fans. - Rob Van Dam, the WWF Hardcore Champion, will be the special guest on tomorrow's edition of Byte This. You can ask him a question by calling 1-888-LIVEWWF or email him at bytethis@wwf.com For more information visit WWF.com. - Chris Kanyon's latest commentary is up which can be viewed at ChrisKanyon.com Two more parts of the commentary will be posted during Smack!Down a little later tonight.
