Lance Storm, Backyard Wrestling, Foley, Survivor Series, Raw Preview - WCW/ECW star Lance Storm has updated his
online commentary. This week Storm talks about Austin, Rock, Invasion,
and the all important "push": This week's commentary is inspired by a
comment on my comment board in which someone commented on how
I am being treated like a jobber in the WWF. The person went on to say
how I deserve more and should be receiving a large "push". I knew this
comment would be coming as I have yet to win a match in the WWF.
The thing that this person, and many others miss is that there is more to
a "push" than just winning matches. For the record my WWF win/loss
record is 0-6-1 (prior to PPV, I'm writing this on Saturday). Does this
mean I am a jobber and not receiving a push? I don't think so. There are
a lot of ways of getting a push and winning matches is just one of them.
For that matter a stellar win/loss record does not, unto itself, mean you
are being pushed. To read the rest, log on to StormWrestling.com- The World Wrestling Federation has
spoken out about the death of a Wilkes County child. Derek Garland
died last Tuesday after being injured while wrestling with a 16-year-
old. Garland's mother said that the boys were imitating moves they
had seen on television. The WWF issued a statement concerning the
death of the boy. A spokesperson said that there should not be any
rush to judge the situation, and that wrestling may not be to blame.
Autopsy results show that the 9-year-old died of trauma to the head
and neck. Investigators are waiting for more medical tests to see if
the child's body are consistent with the teen's story. No charges have
been filed. - Mick Foley will be releasing his second children's book. This one will have the Halloween theme where children dress up like WWF Superstars. Its been reported that the drawings for Foley's latest book are done very well.
