- Chris Benoit, who has been sidelined since the WWF King of the Ring, is feeling not as much pain as he felt a couple weeks ago. This could lead to the Canadian Crippler returning in less than a year, which was the doctors' original estimate.- There is speculation that come this Monday night at WWF RAW is WAR when The Rock makes his return to wrestling, he may join Team WWF or the WCW/ECW Alliance -- or neither. Since The Great One has always been the "People's Champion" there is a slight possibility that he could stay on his own. This would eventually lead to a Triple Threat Match at WWF SummerSlam 2001 for the WWF Championship between the WCW/ECW Alliance's Stone Cold Steve Austin, the WWF's Kurt Angle and The Rock.
- There is a possibility that William Regal could find himself filling in the open commentator spot for RAW and/or pay-per views alongside Good Ol' JR, Jim Ross. If he were to receive the position it would be sometime before the August pay-per view, SummerSlam, so that he would have time to prepare himself for calling a major event. WWF officials feel he has a good voice and is very quick-witted when it comes to commentating and cutting promo's.
- Friends of Jerry Lynn say Lynn wasn't involved in the ECW/WCW angle due to his attitude towards Paul Heyman during the defunct ECW for having to job to Rob Van Dam constantly.
- The "Featured Star" feature on the ECW mini-site has been updated to Rhyno. Past featured stars include Rob Van Dam and Lance Storm.
- There is a lot of heat over WWF making the WCW titles mean nothing already. With SmackDown! showing the WCW World Title changing hands on a televised show rather than a pay-per view as well as the United Stats title being handed over, and the Crusierweight title swapping hands on its first defense a couple of weeks ago. The re-match scheduled for Booker T and Kurt Angle could show Booker regaining his gold showing the Angle title victory on SmackDown! just being a time-filler for The Rock's return as well as a way to get Angle more over on television with his hometown crowd pushing for him.
