THE BASIC PLOT:

Someone evil is demonstrating they can control the weather! after losing a number of special agent teams to the bad guys the government is looking for a new agent, and they can't use triple 0 eight., whoever that is..so they resort to a super computer to pick the one man for this job, Derek Flint and so the man is chosen, Derek Flint. He doesn't want to accept the job, but as someone tries to murder him, he decides that the best would be to go save the world.

MOVIE HIGHLIGHTS and KEY MOMENTS: the opening credits are very much reminiscent of every James Bond title sequence. ( hahahaha Derek flint does bad karate , with no power ) and fantastically silly preposterous moves. Derek flint's apartment is a high tech 60's bachelor spy pad. hahahahaha - hahahahah his leopard skin barber chair is the perfect place for him to get an early morning shave from his multiple female attendants. hahahahah- Derek flint stops his heart by using hypnotic meditation to stay in a state of trance while he thinks about his next move....in a tux. he uses the same walter ppk as James bond.. a fly is buzzing. hahahahaha he uses a pen that has been modified into a blow dart to assinate the bug.

 wow. the mention of a secret bouillabaisses and how it was prepared tips Derek flint off to how and where the killers originated from. Derek flint now takes his private jet to Paris to test the bouillabaisse, and then to another upper scale restaurant, .. and finally to a smokey bar witch happens to serve the best bouillabaisse. on stage there is a disrobing female. flint is the only man wearing a tuxedo.. the man up front is telling the girl to "work it baby work it." he is agent triple 0 eight. flint and triple 0 eight discuss the details of the operation as they stage a fight. trading secrets as they trade punches flint throws him out of the bar and returns to find his bouillabaisse being served. it is the same bouillabaisse the killers had eaten . ( im so confused.) flint goes to the men's room and an attempt is made on his life . this time he kills the would be assassin with his own knife.. thinking quickly he takes the old style revolving men's hand towels from the dispenser, and wraps it around his head in a turban. turning his black tuxedo jacket inside out , and putting on some dark glasses he is easily disguised as an Egyptian. acting crazy and shooting up the place he empties the bar. as patrons run out to avoid his madness. it seems a bomb had been planted and this was his way of getting everyone to safety. flint prefers to use his own code. a secret code based on female measurements to communicate his progress to headquarters. enter the bad guy. he is the same man you may remember as Devon , Michael knights boss from the tv series knight rider. the movie is full of 60's music and 60's women. 

Now his four lovely female assistants have all been individually kidnapped. Flint continually displays his knowledge of various languages as he travels the globe. Chinese, French, Italian... following a lead he got off a piece of the bar explosion he searches for a specific cold crime in Rome . and he has found the woman who made 2 attempts on his life. seducing the women he finds that they are controlling the weather from within a volcano. after sleeping with the girl he leaves while she is still sleeping and takes a secret set of keys from her purse. but alas, it's a trap. the girl notifies someone on the other end of the phone that flint has taken the key and is on his way.. he gets caught but manages to release himself, he then pretends to be dead so that his enemies don't get suspicious. 

Flint is taken to galaxy island the secret base of the evil doers in a coffin. hahaha somehow flint has managed to escape from his coffin and into the disguise of one of the security guards. outside the volcano he witnesses the scene... bikini girls, jumping on trampolines, juggling, walking with fruit on their head, playing games, and basically lounging on this island paradise. sail boats and lagoons. palm trees and sand, circus acts and tropical weather. haha inside the volcano his coffin is opened to reveal an Adrock looking corpse who to their astonishment is not Derek Flint. the word goes out and the bikini clad revelers are instantly herded off inside the volcano. 

PURPLE ALERT ! destroy the island.! Flint is found and the chase begins.Wielding a giant wrench flint goes to work on sabotaging the instruments around the machine room. taking out guards at will. karate chopping and and high kicking his way through the mayhem. flint's tiger style is unbeatable. no one seems to be able to defeat it. although his moves seem basic by today's standards it seems as if all he needs is one correctly aimed attack to subdue every foe he encounters. now flint goes head to head with the big boss man. tiger style vs. old man style. they fight hand to hand and then with make shift swords. ( flint defeats knight riders boss ) the evil scientists argue that destroying their super creation would be the end to all their dreams. they surrender their evil machine to flint - for the good of all humanity. but the big boss man will not relinquish the machine and in turn destroys it himself. thus throwing the island into total chaos. as walls and ceiling begin to crumble around them people scatter and desert the island in fear of their lives. his beautiful assistants are helped to safety and escape among the others fleeing the island. hahahahahaha styraphome rocks hit the girls off the noggin as they escape, boulders fall off their shoulders as if weightless. not even putting a dent in their pony tails. hiding inside large metallic drums they send themselves over the islands waterfall from within the volcano and float away to safety.

THE FINAL OPINION: I give the movie an A for girls. and for set design. the acting isn't bad, but the writing could be better. the special effects and cheesy plot lines and near death escapes are totally insane all in all however I have to admit to liking its cheesiness. I would like to rewatch this movie on e or after eating some acid. nice colors, bad music, and most certainly a 1960's hedonistic flesh feast. no boobs. but lots of bikinis. very misogynistic. a phony hero.. and the creation of the worlds first swinger super spy. James bond is still the best in this genre however. -much more clever. and this movie is most definitely trying to capture the spirit of James bond in a much more second rate manner. in its lameness it finds its own greatness.
