This means that a tropical cyclone now centred within about
800 kilometres of Hong Kong may affect us.
At 4 p.m., Typhoon Neoguri was estimated to be about 730
kilometres south-southwest of Hong Kong (near 16.0 degrees
north 112.0 degrees east) and is forecast to move
north-northwest at about 10 kilometres per hour in the
general direction of Hainan.
A northeast monsoon is expected to affect the southeastern
coast of China in the next couple of days. Under the
combined effect of the northeast monsoon and Neoguri,
occasionally strong winds are expected offshore later
today. Sea conditions will also become rough gradually.
However, the chance of issuing the Strong Wind Signal No.3
within today is not high.

Neoguri has landed near Yangjiang and weakened into a
tropical storm. The chance of issuing Gale or Storm Wind
