Here are the results for Big Ones 2000 as voted by past and present members. Thanks to everyone who voted. And now, the results:
Match of the Year:
Runner-up: Johnny Canuck vs Justin Animal
Winner: Johnny Canuck vs Italian Stallion
*After Johnny Canuck defected from the GoD to Hell's Angels, there was big time heat building up between the leaders of both factions for over a month. As luck would have it, Canuck had the World Title, and Stallion had the IC Title heading into Bash at the Beach 2, and after an unbelievable ladder match, Italian Stallion left with both*
Wrestler of the Year:
Runner-up: Italian Stallion
Winner: Justin Animal/Gravedigger
*We had a tie for first place between 2 men who had a great impact on the 3WCW in 1999. Justin Animal is most remembered for his Youth Movement with the Horsemen, and their battle with the nWo. Animal held the IC and Hardcore Titles in '99. Gravedigger headed some of the most powerful factions the 3WCW has ever seen. He was the leader of Hell's Angels until he defected to the nWo in late January. After that, the man from the darkside started up the Ministry of Darkness, and after that fell apart, Gravedigger lead Hell's Angels once again to the top of the 3WCW. Digger held almost every title in '99. Both men definately deserving of this honor, as they both had huge impacts on the fed this past year*
Winners: Law & Order (The Judge/The Bossman)
*Was there ever any doubt here? These 2 superstars dominated the tag team scene for months back in mid-99. They held the tag titles twice, the first time holding them for over a month, and the second time, carring them for just under a month, until the 3WCW closed down. They've since split up and are currently tearing up the singles division*
Finishing Move of the Year:
Runner-up: "6 Feet Under" - Gravedigger
Winner: "Animal Driver" - Justin Animal
*This devestating finishing move lead Justin Animal through the 3WCW ranks and has helped him become one of the top superstars we have to offer today. This finishing move has destroyed many opponents, and has won Justin Animal gold*
Manager of the Year:
Runner-up: Torrie Wilson (Italian Stallion)
Winner: Eric Maltby (Horsemen)
*Eric Maltby lead the Horsemen and their Youth Movement against Markus Maltby's new World order. And while Eric may not be currently in an on camera role, his impact on the fed back in the Summer of 99 will never be forgotten*
Pay Per View of the Year:
Runner-up: Bash at the Beach 2
Winner: GoD Mass Destruction
*Undoubtably the PPV of the year. The main event featured Death Warrent defending the World Title against Suneil Sangha in a Pit of Hell match, which takes place on a Skull Island, in 50 by 25 foot pit, surrounded by fire, which is then surrounded by land mines. Not only was this match nominated for match of the year, it also holds a nomination for shocker of the year, as this was where Johnny Canuck was revealed as the Disciple, where he turned his back on Suneil Sangha and the nWo, and headed for Hell's Angels*
Shocker of the Year:
Runner-up: Rocky Stonage winning the World Title on Nightmare
Winner: Johnny Canuck joining Hell's Angels at Mass Destruction
*The Disciple showed up on the 3WCW scene along the side of Gravedigger around the end of May. Everyone in the 3WCW was on their toes wondering who this person was. If it was a current member, if it was someone new. But they knew he had to be stopped. When Mass Destruction rolled around, there was plenty speculation that the Undertaker had made his return to the 3WCW. But Johnny Canuck shocked the world when he emerged from the ring on Skull Island, and chokeslammed Suneil Sangha after he won the World Title*
Stable of the Year:
Runner-up: Horsemen/Hell's Angels
Winner: Godfathers of Destruction (GoD)
*After their birth in May courtesy of Johnny Canuck and Italian Stallion, the GoD caused havoc throughout the 3WCW for a long time, and have recently reformed, and are looking to continue where they left off for a possible repeat next year*
Best Feud of the Year:
Runner-up: Johnny Canuck/Italian Stallion
Winner: Horsemen vs Degeneration X vs Hell's Angels vs GoD
*In the biggest feud the 3WCW has ever seen, stables built up to atleast 5 members strong, and battled for number one in the 3WCW. This great feud, however was cut short due to a merger with the PWWF to form NACW*
Jackass of the Year:
Runner-up: Joshua Corum
Winner: Steve Blackman
*Well, what can you say about this guy. It's kinda cute how he just keeps trying and trying. But I think we all know where the best fed is at. And until he realizes this aswell, I'm sure he will continue to provide us all with comical hilarity as he strives to prove the XCW is better than WWWCW*
