Mass Destruction starts off by showing a promo for the Main Event, which
features Death Warrent defending the World Title against Suneil Sangha in a
Pit of Hell match, which takes place on a Skull Island, in 50 by 25 foot
pit, surrounded by fire, which is then surrounded by land mines. It should
prove to be one of the best matches in WWWCW history.
Scott Steiner made Midnight submit to the Steiner Recliner in 0:06:52
*In an okay opening match, Scott Steiner used everything he could in this
No-DQ match up. Late in the match, Steiner suplexed Midnight onto the
concrete floor, and then made him submit to the Steiner Recliner*
Trunks pinned Dr. Pain after the Dragon Plex in 0:04:22
*I realize Trunks wanted a match for Mass Destruction, but Dr. Pain was just
a waste of time*
TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Justin Animal pinned Ric Flair after a poke to the chest in 0:01:12
(Justin Animal retained the WWWCW Television Title)
*Justin Animal and Flair circled eachother for about a minute, and then
Animal nailed Flair with a vicious poke to the chest, and then executed a
lateral press for the victory. What does this mean?*
Johnny Canuck made Kevin Nash submit to the Canadian Death Lock in 0:09:49
*Kevin Nash had a very good debut in this match, but in the end, veteran
Johnny Canuck was just too much for Big Sexy. However, late in the match,
with Gorgeous George distracting the ref, GoD member Justin Animal came down
to the ring. Nash was running off the ropes, when JA struck Big Sexy in the
back with a chair. Nash stumbled to JC, who executed a russian leg sweep,
followed by the Canadian Death Lock. Francine tried to break the hold, but
her actions were counter-acted by Gorgeous George. Soon after, Nash tapped
out, and JC relinquished the hold. Francine helped Nash out of the ring, and
left Johnny Canuck and Justin Animal in the ring to celebrate. JA was
holding up JC's arm, when suddenly Justin Animal turned on Canuck, and
clotheslined him to the ground. Soon after, Ric Flair, Inferno, and Sid
Vicious came running down to the ring to help continue the assault on Johnny
Canuck. Seconds later, the Road Dogg came running down to the ring with his
GoD shirt on. He entered the ring, and him and Justin Animal started having
a heated conversation. Road Dogg pushed Justin Animal, almost knocking him
down. Animal retaliated by ripping off Road Dogg's GoD shirt, to reveal a
Horsemen shirt. They then officially announced the formation of the NEW
Horsemen!*
Canyon defeated Goldberg and Havoc when Canyon pinned Goldberg in 0:10:52
*Goldberg and Havoc looked to have a legitimate chance in beating Canyon,
until Edge came down to the ring, and effectively ended Havoc's night with
numerous chair shots to the knee. After that Canyon had no trouble with
Goldberg. However, after the match was over, the KLIQ came running down to
the ring to attack Canyon. Canyon left the ring, and exited through the
crowd. Later on, KLIQ leader Nightmare announced Goldberg and Havoc were the
newest members of the KLIQ*
EVENING GOWN MATCH
Gorgeous George vs Francine - No Contest
*This match never really got started, as instead of fighting, Gorgeous
George decided that her and Torrie Wilson would just lay a beating on
Francine. The beating lasted for about a minute, when the KLIQ came running
down to the ring. TW and GG exited through the crowd, but not before they
had completely stripped Francine, who was attempting to cover herself with
her shreaded dress*
TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Law & Order defeated The Brood when the Bossman pinned Edge in 0:08:59
(Law & Order retained the WWWCW Tag Team Titles)
*Late in the match, The Judge was being double teamed by Edge and Canyon,
with Edge being the legal man. Shortly after, the Judge got a burst of
energy, and clotheslined Edge to the mat. Judge was trying to make his way
back to the Bossman, and while this was happening, Gravedigger was making
his way to ringside with a shovel. The Judge tagged in Bossman just before
Edge could get there. Gravedigger got up on the ring apron, and entered the
ring. Canyon had seen Digger from the beginning, and was trying to get in
the ring, but was being restrained by the ref. Bossman threw Edge towards
Gravedigger, who nailed Edge with the shovel. Edge dropped to the ground,
and Bossman made the pin*
HARDCORE TITLE MATCH
Bret Hart pinned Nightmare after a chair shot in 0:09:44
(Bret Hart won the WWWCW Hardcore Title)
*In a match filled with ladders, tables, chairs, and guard rail, Bret Hart
endured more pain than Nightmare to get the victory. During the match, Kevin
Nash came out to help Nightmare, but was countered by Johnny Canuck. JC and
Nash battled for a while in the isle, but eventually, JC broke free of Nash,
picked up a chair, and cracked the fatigued Nightmare over the head with a
chair. Bret Hart then pinned Nightmare, to become the new Hardcore Champ,
and I bet nobody saw that coming. The entire KLIQ, who were joined by Kevin
Nash soon came to the aid of Nightmare. The Canadian Hitmen fled through the
crowd. Johnny Canuck then got in a limo, and left the arena immediately. The
KLIQ eventually helped Nightmare back to the dressing room. With that, could
Nash be the newest member of the KLIQ?*
INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH
Gravedigger pinned Edge after the 6 Feet Under in 0:12:32
(Gravedigger won the WWWCW Intercontinental Title)
*This was a very physical match between one of the premier Heavyweights
against one of the best Cruiserweights. Late in the match, Edge was in
control, looking to finish off Digger with the Downward Spiral, when Italian
Stallion came running down to the ring with a chair, he entered the ring,
and with the ref being distracted by Paul Bearer, Stallion nailed Edge with
the chair. Digger then picked up Edge, and executed the 6 Feet Under. Edge was then helped out of the ring by Canyon and Trunks, leaving Stallion and Gravedigger. Here's the call from Tony Schivone and Bobby Heenan:
TS: Oh my. What's going to happen here?
BH: I dont know Tony, but I dont like it.
*Gravedigger raises the hand of Stallion*
TS: Oh my god! What does this mean?
BH: Stallion's the Disciple, Stallion's the Disciple!!
*Gravedigger clotheslines Stallion to the mat, and leaves the ring*
TS: What the hell's going on here?
BH: I dont know Tony, but we've got to get to the Skull Island for the World Title match!
WORLD TITLE MATCH
Suneil Sangha made Death Warrent quit after the Sharpshooter in 0:21:52
(Suneil Sangha won the WWWCW World Heavyweight Title)
*This was undoubtably the match of the night. Both men battled hard, with each man executing their finishing moves, only to have Death Warrent find the ropes after minutes of the Sharpshooter, and to have Suneil Sangha kick out after the devistating Executioner. In the late stages of the match, Death Warrent was getting ready to execute the Executioner on Sangha, when the number 1 contender moved out of the way of the top rope brainbuster type move. He had trouble getting to his feet, but when he did, he slapped on the Sharpshooter, and after the ref determined Death Warrent had passed out, he delcared Suneil Sangha the winner, and NEW World Champ! Shortly after, with Suneil celebrating his victory, the middle of the ring began to tear. Suddenly a dark figure emerged from under the ring. It was the Disciple! He approached Sangha, and when the new World Champ turned around, he was grabbed by the throat. Then came the moment of truth. The Disciple reached up to his hood, and began to pull it off. He took his time, building up the suspense, but when Suneil Sangha got the first glimpse of the Disciple, he was not pleased. When the hood was fully removed, the Disciple was revealed only to be JOHNNY CANUCK! He picked up Sangha, and chokeslammed him through the part of the ring he emerged from!*
