100,000 Pecans and Maybe Some LemonWe just don't see enough of Joey Lucas in fanfic. Thankfully, Sary does a wonderful job at doing something about that. This is a great insight into not only Joey during "100,000 Airplanes," but also into what's going on with Toby during the episode.
Most Josh/Donna stories have been done, but this one by Cath takes on a unique flare. Josh Lyman is so many things all wrapped up into one, and because of that Donna is placed in a awkward situation. Read and enjoy.
Pene's writing is effervescent. This story is held together with fishing wire so much so that the threads are delicate and invisible, but always enough. Rachel is a character you love to hate, or hate to love, and CJ feels the same way. It's a very different story, a CJ/OFC, slight CJ/T story, an LA story, but it's beautiful and heartbreaking and everything lovely.

This is just one of those stories that is wonderful on so many levels. A little different than anything we've really read, it deals with two childhood friends standing the test of time. Sweet and funny, this is a story that will leave you asking for more.
Kacey does something marvelous here. The story starts at the end, but it could just as well be the beginning. There's Sam, and Josh, and it's the Sam and Josh everyone loves. It's a fascinating study to see everything unravel, and really should not be missed.
The LiveJournal Mood Vingette Challenge

Jae Gecko, of the Turning Series (http://www.jaegecko.com/turning) fame, decided to pose a challenge one day and authors from all over came up with some fantastic and brilliant replies. The challenge: 500 words, and a mood from the livejournal mood list. Any fandom, any character. The West Wing bits turned out exceptionally well. These little bits are NOT to be missed, seriously.

For all of you looking for a little more closure on the Censure in H.Con 172, this is the story for you. Almost entirely involving Josh and Bartlet, Valentine's characterizations are dead on and the plot is more than believeable. Watch the episode, and then go read this story. You'll be glad you did.
Mandy's hard to fake, and Sab proves once again what a fantastic author she is. This is pre-admin, Josh and Mandy and South Korea. Because not everyone hates Mandy, though it sometimes looks that way, and Josh has a lot of growing to do.
The last time we saw Sam in "100,000 Airplanes," he was feeling a little down. Priya contructs a wonderful exchange between Sam and Leo that makes him feel both him and us quite a bit better.
Good Abbey stories are hard to come by, but this one shines. It's Thanksgiving time again and there's a porch in Manchester, dripping rain, and a bad pecan pie. AJ painstakingly created a detailed and intricate portrait of rhythm, reflection and families. We get a perfunctory but beautiful glimpse into the Bartlet family, before and after the White House, and an Abbey that is undeniably Abbey.
Because Toby first love is language, and his world is words, but sometimes people step inside the pages. It's an absolutely brilliantly inspired story, that twists and turns and flows and is just so completely Toby (with a bit of a delightful Sam) that you can't stop reading. There aren't enough wonderful things to say about it, except that it is fabulous. Marvelous. And did we mention brilliant?
I'm going to don my flame resistant suit for this next rec.. It's Josh/Amy. But even though a LOT of people dislike these two, this story was too hard to resist. It deals with Cute!Josh and his makeshift Tahiti, but also has an air of uncertainness to it. Which not only is very true in this relationship, but hey, all you people who don't like them can take it as a sign of things to come.

Marguerite
Marguerite's latest is stunning. Angst of any kind is always popular, but Meg gives this a depth and feeling that distinguishes it from its counterparts. The characterizations are dead-on in a situation that is tricky at best to get exactly right. This is a wonderfully written, thoroughly researched, and extraordinarly touching piece that should not be missed.
